The first time I've been able to write fic in months and it's for a fandom that's as dead as doornails, nor nigh-on. Oh Reboot, why must I love you so?

Title: "Gamer"
Fandom: Reboot/various videogames

Warnings: Incredibly geeky and loaded with video game jokes
Word Count: ~6200 words, five of ten parts
Summary: In the timeskip during season 3, Enzo and AndrAIa survive through various games as they mature and grow together, and Enzo becomes "Matrix". All the games they play are, in fact, actual games. :P Gratuitous crossover and reference to far too many games, but you don't have to have played them to get the story! *beckons* I tried to keep the list of games pretty mainstream anyway.

Why no one has written this fic yet (or have they?), I don't even know. It's too obvious!

I'm a cheating bastard and using mostly console games (and a couple handheld ones *cough*) rather than PC games – what can I say, I'm a console gamer, that's what I know. Hint: None these games are, in fact, available on the GameCube. ;D

So I was browsing the kink meme with the intention of filling something DDS-related when I realized I really just wanted to write stuff about Heat. Then I realized I totally had Heat/Sera on the brain and can't write anything else until I've run that ship into the ground. (Failure as a slasher, wut, my favourite pairing in the games is HET. I have a thing for obsessive one-sided relationships like that, see hardcore shipping of Renji/Rukia - only this is more so. Much more so. Heat/Seraph is a whole 'nother pile of win.)

Okay, back when I started playing SMT1 I ran into this little fellow the first time you go into the disco in Shinjuku:

Anyway, so that's the extent of this guy's appearance. But it was very late at night when I got to this point and for some reason I found it all hysterically funny. I took some screencaps because it amused me so much. The next day I ended up WRITING A GODDAMN FIC about it at work in a notebook. Because I was smart, I forgot about it, but in all the bustle of packing my shit up for the move I found the notebook again. So I typed it up and edited it yadda yadda.
